Come and see the Christmas decorations by night! – and enjoy a cup of mulled wine and a mince pie (or two!) aboard our EVENING STEAM SPECIAL.
This is a fabulous opportunity to visit the railway by night and experience the magic of Christmas as you coast along the line to the North Pole and beyond in our steam-heated carriages!
Every Adult or Senior receives: a cup of mulled wine AND two mince pies. Children aged 3 to 17 yrs receive a soft drink and an iced Christmas tree shortbread biscuit.
Ticket Pricing: For an extended round trip with refreshments: – Adults £16, Seniors £15, Child £10 (Age 3 to 17 yrs)
Children under 3 years of age FREE. There is no charge for registered carers but please note, only tea, coffee, or a soft drink , plus mince pies will be served to carers.

Departure Times from Blunsdon – 18.30hrs and 19.35hrs Please allow at least 15 minutes to park and make your way to the platform.

Online ticketing for each day closes at Midday on the day before the service. Tickets are by pre-booking only!
Description
Your booked train travel is in a non-reserved open-plan carriage with some additional seating in a compartment coach. When you arrive at the railway please make yourself known to the ticket staff on duty and collect your refreshment voucher before boarding the train at your booked time.
Trains will run to a special timetable starting from Blunsdon for an extended round trip to Taw Valley Halt then non stop to South Meadow Lane via Hayes Knoll (aka the North Pole) and then return to Blunsdon. Each round trip lasts approximately 50 minutes. Please note, this is not a trip to see Santa (he needs his rest!).
