Diesel Driver Taster Experience
£50 per person (only one person per time slot)

Join us to experience first hand the power and nostalgia of a Class 03 Diesel Locomotive. On specific days across April, each person gets a unique chance to take charge of their own locomotive for 30 minutes from Blunsdon to Hayes Oak Crossing whilst under the supervision of our experienced drivers. A chance not to be missed!

Online tickets close at 6pm on the Friday before each Saturday. PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Please bring email confirmation on the day to claim your Driving Experience.
PLEASE NOTE: The minimum age is 18 years old, you must be able-bodied as you have to climb up and down from a vertical ladder unaided. Suitable clothing and sturdy footwear is advised due to the
dirty environment you will be working in.
All participants should arrive at least 15 minutes before their chosen time slot and wait by the water column on Blunsdon platform. Requests for cancellations and rebooking, in-line with our terms & conditions, should be addressed to: bookings@swindon-cricklade-railway.org. The S&CR reserves the right to cancel, suspend or reschedule the Diesel Driver Taster Experience for whatever reason and all advertised services are subject to availability.
To make it an even more memorable experience why not bring a friend or family member? For only £10 extra you can bring one additional person to ride in the cab and watch you in action! (Children must be aged 14 years or over).
