Vintage Train Travel Day
10 May @ 10:30 - 17:00

This is a special opportunity to ride in the Taff Vale Coach No 73 hauled by a very special locomotive.
Coach No 73 is believed to be unique in preservation. While other Taff Vale carriages have been preserved, none have the 1st/2nd composite layout of No 73.

There's room on board for everyone!
This special service is expected to be popular. Our Day Rover Tickets mean you can ride on the train as many times as you wish during the day. If the Taff Vale No73 is full on any particular trip, spend time in the recently restored BR Mk1 TSO until a seat in the Taff Vale Coach becomes available. - It's a joy to behold.

While waiting to board your train, be sure to check out the Ruston and Hornsby 0-6-0

0-6-0 Diesel Electric PWM651 was built in 1959. This loco was supplied new to British Rail (WR) Civil Engineers Department at Radyr (Cardiff). At the end of BR service it moved to the Northampton & Lamport Railway in November 1988 and then to the Strathspey Railway, Aviemore, Scotland in May 2008. It came to the S&CR in August 2015.
