Railway 200 Gala
On 27 September 1825
George Stephenson’s steam-powered Locomotion No.1 travelled 26 miles between Shildon, Darlington and Stockton.
And so began the age of the passenger train
Come and celebrate this momentous occasion with us.
(Please bring your own horses and donkeys, we'll supply the trains!)

Friday 19th Sept. - DMU Driver Experience opportunities for only £60 per person (bookable at the shop on a first come, first served basis).
With additional public DMU services during the day.

Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st Sept. - Intensive gala timetable featuring the Class 119 DMU, Class 73 'Sir Herbert Walker', Class 03 D2152, and Diesel Electric PWM651.
