The nearest main road is the A419, which leaves the M4 Motorway at Junction 15, signposted for Cirencester.
Leave the A419 near the top of Blunsdon Hill, just north of Swindon. A major new road
layout has recently been completed and, until all the signs are in place, the best approach is to follow the signs for "SPEEDWAY". The Railway is about two miles on. Our car park is immediately after a small river bridge.

Taw Valley Halt
Taw Valley Halt is directly accessible from Swindon's Mouldon Hill Country Park. The Park is signposted from the southern end of Thamesdown Drive in the north Swindon development.
The Park offers free car parking (under the control of Swindon Borough Council) and bus services from the centre of Swindon (a short walk from Swindon railway station).

Bus Service
For those wishing to use public transport to visit the Railway at Taw Valley Halt, Thamesdown Transport's services 15 and 15A (Mon - Sat) and Stagecoach's service 19 (Sundays & Bank Hoildays) offer a viable option.
All run between Fleming Way bus station (Thamesdown Transport) and Fleming Way (Stagecoach - a short distance from the main bus station) to a stop adjactent to Mouldon Hill Country Park.
Fleming Way is just a few minutes' walk from Swindon Station. See Swindon Borough Council's Online bus timetables guide
